Namib’s Valley of a Thousand Hills Lodge is located in the vast desert plains of Namib Naukluft Gamsberg Reserve. It's location on a highland offers a panoramic view of the Gaub River Valley riddled with thousands of hills creating a photographer's paradise. Namib’s Valley of a Thousand Hills was not accessible to the general public until recently however due to some effort and planning, this wonder is now fully operational.

Namib’s Valley of a Thousand Hills is situated 180 km from Windhoek en-route to Sossusvlei dunes or west coast towns of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.

Accommodation at Namib’s Valley of a Thousand Hills

Mountain View lodge room is in the main building, with a double bed, en-suite bathroom, beautiful view and own private balcony. Mountain View room is on one level with the lodge.

Valley View Family Bungalow: twin beds and en-suite bathroom. The beds can be pushed together to form a king size bed. One of the bungalows has two sleeper couches making it ideal for small children. The other bungalow has an extra room with two twin beds and two sleeper couches for children or extra adults to sleep or can be used as a lounge. There are no electricity points in the bungalows, but lights and hot water are provided by solar power.

Camping: three camping sites, each has own ablution. There are structures erected at camping area to provide shade. There is no electricity or lights at camp sites. There is hot water at each ablution. Campers must be self-sufficient in wood and ice.

Game drives
Lodge's safari vehicles do a breathtaking drives across the Namib's Valley of a Thousand Hills property, where guests can see some of the common wildlife: Oryx, springbok and ostrich.

4x4 trails
Namib's Valley of a Thousand Hills has several 4x4 trails ranging from slightly challenging to extremely challenging. Come and test your off-road 4x4 skills.

Hiking
Namib's Valley of a Thousand Hills has marked hiking trails to assist hikers in finding the best lookout points. Namib's Valley is located on elevated ground overlooking the Gaub River Valley. This creates an unbelievable view over the Namib. There is plentiful wildlife as most of them can roam free out of the Namib-Naukluft Nature Reserve.
