Sesriem Oshana Camping - welcome to Sossusvlei, Namibia!

Sesriem Oshana Camp is located next to the entrance to Namib-Naukluft National Park and its Sossusvlei area. Each camp site is built with self-catering camping facilities and each camping site has own private toilet/shower, wash-up kitchenette (hot/cold water) and 220V electricity power point. Accommodation is available at Dead Valley Lodge.
 

Sesriem Oshana Camp is designed for the adventurous traveller in need of more comfort while on camping self-drive tour and some luxury on camping excursions. The camp blends perfectly into the surrounding ancient Namib Desert environment, its wooden pergola provides adequate ample shading for tents and caravans. Travelling campers can enjoy a barbecue overlooking the breathtaking Namib Desert landscapes and vistas. Campers have full access to the shop, bar, restaurant and swimming pool at Sesriem (run by Namibia Wildlife Resorts) and each camping site is located inside the gates of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, making Sesriem Oshana Camp the most convenient gateway camp on the road to Sossusvlei.

The area

Sesriem Oshana Camp is located in Sesriem, park's gate to Sossusvlei, near Naukluft Mountains, within famous Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia's main attraction. Sesriem is site of Sesriem Canyon, the most popular tourist attraction after Sossusvlei sand dunes and ponds. Sesriem Canyon was been carved out by Tsauchab River and is a must see travel site. Sesriem Canyon is a breathtaking attraction when river is running in rainy season attracting endemic wildlife such as springbok and Oryx antelopes.

As one of Africa’s largest parks, Namib-Naukluft is one for the bucket list. The famous red dunes at Sossusvlei are a sight to behold and a photographer’s dream, in particular the towering Dune 45. Also worth exploring is Deadvlei, a white clay pan populated with dead acacia trees which add to its stark and haunting beauty.
