Grunau Chalets are situated at the junction where the roads from Cape Town (Western Cape), Windhoek, Johannesburg (Gauteng), and Fish River Canyon meet.

In 1996 the chalets were built next to the Shell filling station - a welcome haven and overnight facility for the tired traveller/motorist/tourist.

Today hosts can offer you the following at Grunau Chalets:

* Shell Filling Station with fuel 24 hours a day
* Shop with refreshments, biltong, curios, painkillers, postcards, etc.
* Restaurant
* Kiosk
* Overnight facilities - 6 rooms (1 family room, 1 little flat, 2 double rooms and 2 three-bed rooms)
* Camp site - every site with electricity, its own shower, toilet, braai and washbasin

Situated at the SHELL Filling Station:
2 x Double Room and 2 x Three Beds Room: en-suite rooms, mini-kitchen, fridge, TV, air-conditioner, barbecue.
1 x Four Beds Room En-suite family room, fridge, air-conditioner, mobile barbecue.
4 x camping sites: own shower and toilet, power point, barbecue, wash basin.

Situated in town - 2 km from SHELL Filling Station:
1 x Five Beds Flat: en-suite, double bed in 1 bedroom and 3 single beds in the other bedroom, fridge in sitting room, mobile barbecue.

OTHER FACILITIES
VISA & Master cards are accepted, ATM for Visa cards, 24 hour SHELL Filling Station, Restaurant and Shop at Filling Station, Kiosk open at night. Swimming pool can be used with prior arrangement. Stop for the Intercape Mainliner, Ekonolux.
