West Nest Lodge is situated 168 km east of Windhoek, 35 km west of town Gobabis and 5 km from the Trans Kalahari Highway on the Farm Klein Begin. The co-ordinates are S22.44263° E18.70108°.

Directions to get there:
From Windhoek >> Take the Trans Kalahari Highway (B6) via Witvlei to Gobabis >> 16km East out of Witvlei >> Follow the directions as indicated by road signs and billboards.

Access by road:
Less than 2 hours from Windhoek.

About West Nest Lodge

West Nest Lodge is situated on the farm Klein Begin. The owners of the Lodge and farm are Awie and Monika van der Westhuizen. The name, WEST Nest Lodge, is derived from their surname. It has been their lifelong dream to have their own small farm and also own a guesthouse or lodge. The first dream became a reality in 2004 when they were able to buy Klein Begin. In 2009 it was time to start planning the second dream and in November West Nest Lodge opened its doors to the public.

West Nest Lodge offers you a variety of accommodation, entertainment and leisure choices. Whether you are looking to stay in one of our elite chalets or get a little more in touch with nature with one of our tented chalets or the camping facilities available, you will always find an option that suits your needs best.

For leisure, choose between lounging by the poolside, taking a swing on the driving range or simply having some family fun at the putt-putt course.

A small gym is available for the more fitness-conscious and for the adventurous, choose between hiking along the walking trail, taking game drives or even doing some hunting. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets from our sundowner deck or relax in the lounge area.

Whatever your choice, we have what your heart desires. Come and enjoy the splendour of West Nest Lodge, you deserve it.

Chalets

The luxurious self-catering chalets can accommodate up to four people and have a well-designed open plan kitchen/living room, with a sleeper couch, and a bathroom. The bedroom has a splendid view on nature. Each chalet has a veranda with a build-in barbeque area. Chalets are equipped with television and air conditioner. Units are at least 15m apart from each other for absolute privacy.

Restaurant

The stylish restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and can cater for up to 120 people. A balcony, for enjoying sundowners and game viewing, forms part of the restaurant. The licensed bar, separate from the restaurant area, caters for a dry throat while watching your favourite sport or playing pool.

Tented Chalet

We currently have twelve permanent tented chalets , each with its own barbeque area and bathroom, hosting a maximum of 3 persons, are available for those who want a bit of comfort while still experiencing a camping feeling.

Knowing that needs differ, West Nest Lodge offers you a choice of three accommodation types, all en-suite:
6 Luxury chalets, 4 cozy thatched rooms and 20 comfortable tented chalets. 5 private camping sites are also available.

A small gym is available for the fitness conscious and our hiking trail will leave you stress free.
