Locally known as "River Lodge" hosts offer a relaxed and comfortable home-away-from-home accommodation and are the Safari base for some of the best Okavango Delta tours available. They range from mokoro [dug-out canoe] trips to all-inclusive budged mobile camping safaris, day trips (by boat or land cruiser) into the delta, sunset cruises on the Thamalakane river (when in flood) and fishing safaris.

Camping at Okavango River Lodge

Alongside the river under shady acacias, with clean barbeque areas. Basic ablution block with hot showers and central boma structure with power points.

Chalets at Okavango River Lodge

Clean and basic. Included: linen, towels, mosquito nets and fans. All chalets are en-suite with showers. Family rooms and bedded tents are also available.

Mokoro trips, the most popular and for budget conscious travellers. This is true Okavango Delta experience. Transfers to mokoro station on Boro River by motorboat.

Day boat trips to Moremi Game Reserve and Chief's Island. Experience Delta's abundance of wildlife. Includes 3-4 hour cruise to Chief's Island, walk with tour guide and picnic lunch.

Day trips to Moremi Game Reserve/Nxai Pan National Park. On arrangement: longer trips to or including: Chobe National Park/Makgadikgadi Pans National Park/Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

Private mobile safaris into the Moremi Game Reserve/Khwai/Nxai Pan National Park/Santawani area. Drive in open game drive Land Cruiser with a trailer, overnight in comfortable 2.5 x 2.5 m dome tents equipped with bedrolls. Clean bush shower and toilet are provided. 3 meals a day with dinner being two courses are served daily.
