Traditional Style Accommodation

Discovery Bed and Breakfast is a very nice, rather small (read; peaceful/ private) accommodation facility in Maun, Botswana.
Discovery has in total 9 thatched huts (traditional) to accommodate 18 people. The huts are tastefully decorated in African/Botswana patterns. The 5 standard huts have a toilet, double bed, hand washing basin, a table + chair, wardrobe and electricity in the rooms.
The 3 luxury huts have the shower and toilet en-suite and all the other facilities as in standard huts.
The family luxury hut has the same facilities as the luxury hut and an extra bunk bed (2 single beds above each other).
The huts are placed in a special setting to resemble a traditional small village and are surrounded with a nice, quiet and homely garden.
Hosts offer (traditional) meals and can invite a dancing group to make your evening at Discovery Bed and Breakfast an experience you wouldn’t forget! (Meals and traditional dancing need to be booked well in advance!).

It is really a get a way just out of town!

You find Discovery B&B along the road from Maun towards Shorobe, about 20 minutes drive from the Maun Airport. Discovery Bed and Breakfast is an ideal stopover for your Botswana holiday. Discovery Bed & Breakfast is signposted, please watch for yellow/black signs with a traditional hut.

Dinner (traditional): 3 course meal
Note that: Host offer meals on request only. To avoid disappointment dinners should be booked in advance. Minimum group: 4 persons.
The (traditional) food needs (long) preparation time and the ingredients must be as fresh as possible. Guests with special diets/requests or food allergies: advanced notification is required.

Traditional dancing group: costs will depend on duration of performance and size of the group.
The dancing group should be booked well in advance, minimum 2 weeks.

Airport transfers: on request, minimum 2 persons.
Transport from Maun airport to Discovery Bed and breakfast and v.v.
One way is approx 40 pula per person min of 2 pax.
If its 1 person only we will charge the person double.

Sexaxa cultural village
Sexaxa cultural village: approx 2.5-3 hours cultural experience/ information about the Bayei tribe.
Not included: transport from Discovery to Sexaxa and v.v. + food and drinks.
