Mukolo Camp is a little piece of paradise located on the Zambezi River in Caprivi strip of northern Namibia. Mukolo Camp offers affordable accommodation and camping and it is a small exclusive eco-friendly safari camp with a beautiful view of the floodplains of the Kwando River.

Cabins & Camping sites

There are six self-catering cabins. Each cabin is equipped with the basic cutlery and crockery, refrigerator, two plate gas stove and wash basin. Four of the cabins can sleep two persons. There are also two family units. The one can sleep four with two single beds and a bunker bed. The second family unit can accommodate five persons and has a double bed, one single bed and a bunker bed. There are fire extinguishers in all cabins. Bar facilities are available.

There are six camp sites underneath big shady trees. Each camp site has its own ablution facility, designated fireplace and electricity. Three camp sites are situated close to the water.

Activities at Mukolo Camp

Boat Cruise for Leisure or Fishing

The most popular activity. There are early morning and sundowner boat cruises. Fishing trips are offered for the fisherman/woman. The Kwando River winds through the Bwabwata National Park.

Bird watching

There are many bird species in and around Mukolo Camp, guests are invited to watch and identify it. Guests can go for a walk, participate in a boat cruise, mukoro trip or a self-drive game drive. Mukolo Camp area is truly a bird lover’s paradise.

Game drives

Mukolo Camp is situated close to the Bwabwata and Mudumu National Parks. A third park, the Nkasa Rupara National Park (previously known as Mamili) is about 70 km from Mukolo. Guests can go on a self-drive game drive (4x4 only).
