Dunes Lodge |
Enjoy the Kalahari desert from one of twelve individual guest houses. Carrying the names of the largest wild animal species of the reservation, the stilted guest houses are arranged around a Vlei, a natural dry lake. All walking paths from the guest houses to the main building are paved, barrier-free, and well-lit.

The Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge is barrier-free for easier accessibility. All houses have been designed without steps to climb. The main building is easily accessible via paved walking paths. Showers are flush to the floor, barrier-free, and very spacious.

Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge is a premier wedding destination in
Namibia. We offer couples a once in a lifetime experience by getting married in
the Kalahari with a beautiful sunset in the background. We recently had the
privilege of hosting another Kalahari wedding. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs.
Boehnke who celebrated their special day with us amongst the dunes of the
Kalahari Desert.
The construction of the new campsite for the Trans Kalahari Walk is nearing
completion. This new campsite will allow visitors who partake in the Walk to
experience the Kalahari in a whole new manner. After a long day spent walking in
the Kalahari, visitors will get to spend a relaxing afternoon in their luxury
tent and cool down in their private swimming pool. For dinner they will be
treated to a “bush braai” prepared under the Kalahari night sky.
There has also been many sightings of newborns recently among the Nyala, Eland,
Zebra, Impala, Springbok, Blue & Black Wildebeest, Kudu, Blesbok & the Meerkats.
We are very excited that our animal numbers continue to grow.
We are also very excited to announce that
Teufelskrallen Tented Lodge & Altes Farmhaus is under new management. The
restaurant recently created a new menu that caters to all appetites. It is the
perfect pitstop in Kalkrand, along the B1 route, to stretch your legs or to
enjoy a refreshing drink. We look forward to your visit.
