Raintree Camp |
Dijara Camp, Moremi Game Reserve
Raintree Camp is a little camping paradise, conveniently set on the edge of
Shorobe Village and easily accessible for travellers who want to get away from
the hustle and bustle of
Maun. All shady camping sites are located under the
canopy of rain trees. The Raintree Camp is situated on the way to famous Moremi Game Reserve.
Raintree Camp is 1 km after the “Machaba Crossing’’ signboard, just before
Shorobe Village. The distance from Maun is 30 km.
There is a traditional rondavel built from termite mound bricks and plastered
with cow dung. The use of Jagermeister bottles adds bright detail to the
bathroom. The rondavel is used as the camp reception.
All camping sites have its own private ablutions, wash-up area and braai
(barbecue) place.
