Kubu Queen house boat is located in Shakawe, Botswana and operates on the Okavango River. Accommodation offered by Kubu Queen is for 6 guests maximum on board. Up to 12 guests incorporating accommodation in bedded tents on islands (safari style).

The houseboat is moored
on the mainland near the town of Shakawe. It is easily accessible by tarred
road, Shakawe has a small international airport suitable for light aircraft as
well.
The Okavango River's crystal clear waters are home to a variety of fish as well
as crocodiles, hippopotamus and otters. They also support an abundance of bird
life. Several species of bird are rare and endemic to the area. Guests to the
area also have the chance to glimpse a sighting of the rare and elusive
Sitatunga antelope.
Your itinerary will be tailor-made to best suit your needs and interests.
Kubu Queen is moored at a different location every night. Two tender boats
accompany the Kubu Queen and these are used to explore the channels and lagoons
in the area.
One of the world's finest freshwater fighting fish inhabits these waters and
guests have the opportunity to go out on the tender boats to try their hand at
hooking into the mighty Tiger Fish.
Nature Walks can also be conducted on some of the larger islands found along the
river.
MINIMUM 6 GUESTS IN SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER
Rate per person per night: on request, minimum 4 persons (September, October and November: minimum 6)
Fully Catered rate includes:
Accommodation, all meals, tender boats, professional guide, fishing, crew and
fuel for the houseboat.
Fishing equipment is on board for usage - guests charged for any lost/broken
tackle/rods/reels. Excludes fuel for the tender boats - fuel charged according
to usage. Excludes all beverages - a fully stocked bar is available on board.
Notes: Well in advance bookings are strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. Rates are subject to change without prior notice should tax be increased or Government levies introduced. Rates include Value Added Tax.
