Eco Marine Kayak Tours Walvis Bay
These tours are conducted at the
coast from Walvis Bay and can be included in a program of our longer
safaris.
These breathtaking trips are conducted by the experienced guide and only licensed,
seaworthy kayaks are used. Safety features include VHF radio, GPS satellite links, flares,
compasses and compulsory life jackets.
There are following options are available:
Rates & programs 2008, valid till 31.10.2008:
LAGOON BIRD WATCHING
Easy kayaking at a leisurely pace with an excellent sights. Departure point: Hengel club (next
to the Yacht club on the Esplanade). Variety of species can be
seen: pelicans, terns, plovers, cormorants, sandpipers and, of coarse, flamingoes.
Departure time: 08:30
Duration of the trip: 2 hours
Kayaks: singles and doubles.
Number of persons per trip: minimum - 2, maximum - 20.
Experience required: no prior experience necessary.
Price: N$ 355 per person
PELICAN POINT
Paddle amongst seals and occasionally dolphins.
Departure point: No 63, 9th street, Walvis Bay, new street name: Theo-Ben Gurirab street.
Departure time: 07:45.
Duration of the trip: 5 - 6 hours
(with transportation to Pelican Point).
Easy kayaking 2 3 hours.
Kayaks: singles and doubles.
Number of persons per trip: minimum - 2, maximum - 4.
Experience required: some experience in water sports preferred.
Price: N$ 490 per person
Tour guide takes photos of tourists and mails copies free of charge.
Provided by operator: kayaks and
paddles, life jackets, warm waterproof jackets, neoprene shoes, dry bags for cameras,
bottled water, refreshments (Lagoon trip: tea,
coffee and biscuits, Pelican Point trip: tea, coffee, biscuits and
brotchens).
