The Hilltop House is located in Windhoek. Original house, which dates back to around 1915, has been converted to contain six rooms. There is also a small pool and garden from which there are views across the northern suburbs of the town to the hills beyond. It is a simple place, friendly and conscientious, but without the facilities you would expect in a more conventional hotel.

Set in a quiet area of town this guest house has all the facilities you might expect from a large hotel, yet manages to maintain the personal touch which makes you feel so welcome and at home. This is the perfect place if you want to relax while staying in Windhoek. A delicious breakfast, and local newspaper, is delivered tray to your room at any time requested. Alternatively you can take breakfast outside on the Oregon pine deck or at the sparkling pool. The house is situated only a few minutes drive from town.. Several restaurants are also located in the vicinity, providing a choice of cuisine on you doorstep. For those who would prefer to dine in, light meals are available from The Hilltop House kitchen.

• From the International Airport you arrive in Windhoek on the Trans Kalahari Highway which ends at a T-Junction with Sam Nujoma Drive. Turn right into Sam Nujoma Drive. At the second set of traffic lights turn right into Nelson Mandela Avenue. Go straight through the second set of traffic lights you come to on Nelson Mandela Avenue and you will pass Von Eckenbrecher Street on the left. The next street to the left is Schanzen Road. Turn left into Schanzen Road and take the first right into Promenaden Rd and drive until you have to stop for a stop sign. This is a very sharp intersection with Lessing Street. You have to make a very tight turn left into Lessing Street up the hill and establishment are number 12 Lessing Street – the first house on the left.
• From the North you arrive in Windhoek on the Western Bypass. Take the Independence Avenue off ramp towards the city centre. Go straight across the traffic lights at the intersection with Hosea Kutako Drive and carry on straight until you get to Eros Road on the left. Turn left onto Eros Road. You pass Erongo, Promendaden and Kilamanjaro streets and turn right into Omuramba Road and drive until it ends at a T-junction with Kuiseb Street. Turn right into Kuiseb Street and immediately left into Nelson Mandela Avenue. The first street to the right is Schanzen Rd. Turn right into Schanzen Road and take the first right into Promenaden Rd and drive until you have to stop for a stop sign. This is a very sharp intersection with Lessing Street. Drive straight through a 4-way stop street and you will get to a three way stop street with Robert Mugabe Avenue. Turn left into Robert Mugabe Avenue. At the 4th set of traffic lights turn right into Sam Nujoma Drive. At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Nelson Mandela Avenue. Go straight through the second set of traffic lights you come to on Nelson Mandela Avenue and you will pass Von Eckenbrecher Street on the left. The next street to the left is Schanzen Road.
