Day 1 Cederberg Mountains Camp LD
We depart Cape Town heading north for the Cederberg. In winter, the hot springs at Citrusdal offer warmth. In summer we spend the afternoon exploring and relaxing. Later we learn about the truck and camp equipment.

Day 2 Namaqualand Camp BLD
We travel north through Namaqualand and head for the Gariep River. The night is spent around the campfire, getting to know one another.

Day 3 Gariep (Orange) River Camp BLD
In the summer we recommend an overnight canoe adventure. In the cooler winter months our groups prefer a day trip on the river returning to the warmth of the camp in the evening. Alternatively, spend your time swimming, watching birds and investigating the interesting features that are unique to the Richtersveld..
Optional Activities : Orange River Canoe Adventure

Day 4 Fish River Canyon Camp BLD
Our destination today is the awesome Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world, where we will enjoy a sundowner at the edge of this imposing wonder.

Day 5 Namib Naukluft NP Camp BLD
From the canyon we continue on into the Namibian hinterland. We arrive at Sesriem Camp in the early afternoon and have time to go for a walk down into the canyon. We camp for the night under the stars, beside the fire, surrounded by the dunes and desert silence.

Day 6 Sossusvlei Dunes Camp BLD
An early start is needed to see the sunrise from the top of the magnificent dunes. After breakfast we can walk to Sossusvlei. The afternoon is spent at a beautiful campsite near Solitaire, the smallest town in Namibia.
Optional Activities: Guided Hike to Sossusvlei.

Day 7 Swakopmund Hostel BL
A dramatic drive through the desert sees us arrive at Walvis Bay where, if we are fortunate, the resident flamingo flock can be seen. Then it's on to the seaside town of Swakopmund. The evening is spent in hostel accommodation and you have the option of enjoying a dinner at a local restaurant serving the catch of the day.

Day 8 Swakopmund Hostel BLD
Today is spent in pursuit of adventure and adrenalin. We may choose to do some shopping or head for the beach.
Optional Activities : Skydiving, Quadbiking, Sandboarding, etc ...

Day 9 Spitzkoppe Camp BLD
Heading north we visit the largest seal colony on the African coast at Cape Cross en route to the mysterious Spitzkoppe, a sacred site of the San people. We have the chance to climb the boulders and rock formations and camp in the wild for the night.

Day 10/11 Etosha NP Camp BLD
An early rise sees us on our way to Etosha NP and some of most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. We spend our days visiting waterholes for some excellent game photography. After supper we relax at some of the finest floodlit waterholes in the world.

Day 12 Rundu Camp BLD
After an early morning game drive we set off for Rundu and our beautiful camp, on the Kavango River.

Day 13 Northern Namibia Camp BLD
We take the road less travelled and pass some interesting local sights. The evening is spent around the campfire taking in the sounds of the African night. We may visit Mahango Game Park today or tomorrow..

Day 14/15/16 Okavango Delta Camp BLD
We arrive at the gateway to the Okavango and can spend the next few days exploring the winding channels of the Delta in Mokoro, going on nature walks and enjoying the solitude of this unique wilderness area.
Optional Activities : Okavango Delta Excursion

Day 17 Caprivi NP Camp BLD
The Delta is left behind as we pass through the Caprivi NP in Namibia, camping under the stars on the banks of the Kwando River.

Day 18 Chobe NP Camp BLD
Our camp today is on the banks of the Chobe River. The afternoon is spent on an optional boat cruise into the renowned Chobe National Park, an excellent opportunity for viewing some of the best of Africa's wildlife.

Day 19 Victoria Falls Hostel BL
Arriving at our destination of Victoria Falls, we have lunch and enough time to visit the Falls. The popular optional sunset cruise includes dinner and drinks.

Day 20 Victoria Falls Hostel B
Most people will spend the day White Water Rafting a not-to-be-missed experience of a lifetime! Vic Falls offers many exciting alternatives. The evening can be spent together as a group at a local restaurant, recounting our tour experiences and adventures.
Optional Activities: Rafting, Bungee, Elephant Excursion

Day 21 Victoria Falls Hostel B
The day is set aside to experience the many options available in Vic Falls.

Day 22 Victoria Falls Camp LD
We cross to our camp in Livingstone on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River. Spend the day enjoying the activities in Livingstone or finalising arrangements for your trip before returning to camp in the evening.
Optional Activities: Rafting, Bungee, Sunset cruise.

Day 23 Lusaka Camp BLD
We leave behind the excitement of Vic Falls and head off on our Nomad expedition. Our route towards the bustling Zambian capital of Lusaka takes us along an interesting route. We set up camp and enjoy the evening relaxing .

Day 24 Chipata Camp BLD
Today is an early start and a drive through southern Zambia. Our campsite outside Chipata is an ideal time to take a walk to stretch the legs.
Optional Activities: Mountain biking etc.

Day 25/26 Luwawa Forest Camp BLD
Today we cross the border from Zambia into Malawi. We head for the Luwawa Forest, above the Great Rift Valley. You will remember this forest region for its magnificent scenery. A hike through the forest may reward you with a glimpse of some of its secretive wildlife.

Day 27/28 Central Lake Malawi Camp BLD
We soon catch sight of the lake where we will spend the next couple of info@namibweb.comefree days. For the more adventurous there are endless leisure and watersport activities. The evenings are spent beside its tranquil waters, enjoying the party atmosphere.
Optional Activities: Scuba diving, parasailing, windsurfing, fishing, canoeing horse riding and many more…

Day 29/30 Northern Malawi Camp BLD
We continue a short way further along the northern part of the lake, close to the Livingstonia Mountains where we will continue our relaxation for the next day or two. Take a stroll through the nearby craft market and make friends with the friendly people of Malawi or take a hike into the mountains if the weather is favourable.
Optional Activities: A wide variety of watersports.

Day 31 Iringa Camp BLD
Today we leave Malawi for our first night in Tanzania. As we climb out of the Great Rift Valley through some spectacular mountain passes, we pass the vast tea plantations in the highlands to our camp outside Iringa.

Day 32 Dar es Salaam Camp BLD
Our route takes us through the Mikumi National Park to the historical port city of Dar es Salaam. At our camp beside the Indian Ocean. For those not visiting Zanzibar, Dar presents a wonderful kaleidoscope of African city-life with many colourful people and markets.

Day 33/34/35 Zanzibar Own Arrangements
A transfer by ferry takes us to Zanzibar where we will spend the next few days exploring this fascinating island with its renowned architecture, beautiful beaches and colourful people and history. Explore the island by motorbike from the capital, Stone Town.
Optional Activities:Ferry, Diving, Motorbike Hire, etc...

Day 36 Zanzibar/Dar es Salaam Camp D
Today we leave Zanzibar and catch a late ferry (or flight) back to Dar es Salaam and return to our campsite. The evening can be spent reminiscing back at the campsite.

Day 37 Lushoto Camp BLD
Leaving Dar es Salaam behind us, we head inland and begin the long scenic climb towards Africa's highest peak Mt. Kilimanjaro. With half of the journey to Kilimanjaro behind us, we spend the night at our campsite where you can enjoy a walk and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Day 38 Arusha Camp BLD
Arriving at our camp outside Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania, we settle in to our base for the exploration of one of the most abundant wildlife reserves in the world over the next couple of days.

Day 39/40 Serengeti Camp BLD
There are many options available, ranging from the one-day trip to the Ngorongoro crater, to a three-day trip into the Serengeti. For those not going to the parks, take this opportunity to absorb some of the local culture.
Optional Activities: Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 41 Serengeti/Arusha Camp BLD
Getting together again after our various game viewing activities, we spend our last night in this beautiful country swapping 'big game' stories around the campfire.

Day 42 Nairobi Camp BL
After crossing the border into Kenya, we continue on towards Nairobi and the end of our journey. The last evening on tour is normally spent out at a local restaurant celebrating the completion of our adventure!

Day 1 Masai Mara Camp BLD
Leaving Nairobi behind we make our way to the Masai Mara National Reserve. We make camp on the edge of the park and have the day inside the reserve to view the game.

Day 2 Lake Naivasha Camp BLD
We head for Lake Naivasha, the 'Sunshine Lake'. Before setting up camp for the evening, we have an opportunity to enjoy a brilliant sunset reflected across the beautiful fresh water lake. There are many activities on offer here.
Optional Activities: Hells Gate NP, Elsamere visit

Day 3 Kisumu Camp BLD
Westward from the Rift Valley we pass through verdant plantations of tea, one of Kenya's biggest exports, as we head toward the town of Kisumu on the shore of Lake Victoria.

Day 4 En-Route Camp BLD
En Route to Serengeti we overnight in the small town of Musomo at a wonderful campsite on the banks of Lake Victoria.

Day 5 Serengeti NP Camp BLD
The Serengeti is what many visitors consider to be the best game viewing in Africa. If you are lucky enough to travel between the months of July and September you may witness the annual animal migration.

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater Camp BLD
From the Serengeti we scale the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. This World Heritage site has a concentration of fauna and flora that is second to none. We hire 4x4's to travel down to the crater floor and spend the morning (or afternoon) gamedriving.

Day 7 Karatu Camp BLD
Leaving the Ngorongoro Crater behind, we spend the night in Karatu before venturing off to Arusha the following day.

Day 8 Arusha Camp BLD
In the early afternoon we arrive at our camp outside Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. Also know as the “Centre of Africa,” Arusha is half way between Cairo and Cape Town.

Day 9 Dar es Salaam Camp BLD
We leave Arusha and drive in the shadow of Mt Kilimanjaro across vast tracts of savannah to the coast and the port city of Dar es Salaam 'Haven of Peace' Tanzania's main commercial centre.

Day 10/11/12 Zanzibar Own Arrangements
Zanzibar conjures up images of idyllic, sandy, palm fringed beaches, romantic winding cobbled alleys and lush tropical forest. Optional Activities: Spice, Slave and Dolphin Tour,

Day 13 Dar es Salaam Camp D
Today we reluctantly leave Zanzibar and head back to Dar es Salaam and return to our campsite. The evening can be spent reminiscing over a cool drink.

Day 14 En Route Camp BLD
Leaving the port city of Dar behind, we travel southwest through Mikumi National Park towards our campsite, before heading for the famous Lake Malawi.

Day 15/16 Chitimba Camp BLD
We travel to the northern part of the lake, close to the Livingstonia Mountains where we camp on the lakeshore. For the energetic a hike up to the Mission is a rewarding experience.

Day 17/18 Kande Beach Camp BLD
Today we reach one of the more famous spots in Malawi, there is lots to do at Kande Beach.
Optional Activities: Horses, Sailing, Water-sports etc…

Day 19 Luwawa Forest Camp BLD
We climb up in to the mountains to the Luwawa forest, above the Great Rift Valley. A hike through the forest may reward you with a glimpse of some of its secretive wildlife.

Day 20 Chipata Camp BLD
Today we cross the border from Malawi to Zambia. Our campsite outside Chipata is an ideal pace to take a walk and stretch the legs.

Day 21 Lusaka Camp BLD
Our route towards the bustling Zambian capital of Lusaka takes us along an interesting route. We set up camp and enjoy the evening relaxing after our long drive.

Day 22 Livingstone Camp BLD
Heading for Livingstone, we set up camp by the mighty Zambezi River and enjoy a game viewing 'sunset' cruise in the evening

Day 23 Victoria Falls Camp B
Today is available for catching up on some rest or partaking in some of the activities on offer.
Optional Activities: Rafting, Bungee,etc

Day 24 Victoria Falls Hostel L
The adventure continues in Victoria Falls. There are numerous adrenaline activities on offer. Before we leave the area we enjoy a sunset cruise. At night, enjoy the nightlife, or try your luck at the casino!

Day 25 Kasane Camp BLD
We leave Zimbabwe and enter Botswana where we set up camp on the bank of the Chobe River

Day 26 Kongola Camp BLD
After an early morning game cruise on the Chobe River we enjoy a hearty breakfast and pack up camp. We then leave Botswana and enter Namibia to travel the Caprivi Strip en-route to the Okavango Delta.
Optional Activities; Sunset Cruise on Kwando River

Day 27/28/29 Okavango Delta Camp BLD
We re-enter Botswana and set up camp. That afternoon we pack up in anticipation of the adventure to come. The next day we transfer by vehicle, Speedboat and traditional Makoro in to the heart of the wilderness where we set up camp on an island. The local people of this area will stay with us to share their knowledge and stories. The next day we enjoy some more of this special area before we travel back to base camp.

Day 30 Rundu Camp BLD
Leaving Botswana again we re-enter Namibia and travel southwest to the border of Angola and camp on the banks of the Kavango River.
Optional Activities: Sunset Cruise, Local Dancers

Day 31/32 Etosha NP Camp BLD
Today we travel to Etosha NP a vast reserve of over 20,000 sq km, surrounding a central salt 'pan,' and enclosing some 114 mammal and 340 bird species. We spend two nights in the area, camping at each end of the park so to maximise our time and see as much as possible.

Day 33/34 Spitzkoppe Camp BLD
Departing Etosha we travel south and enter the more desolate areas surrounding Spitzkoppe. We will arrive late in the afternoon of the first day with plenty of time to enjoy the view as we approach this natural wonder. After a night under the stars, we spend the next day exploring the area and viewing the san rock paintings.

Day 35/36 Swakopmund Hostel BLD
From Spitzkoppe we head to the Atlantic Coast and the Cape Cross Seal Colony, home to some 100,000 seals. A little further south we come to Swakopmund, a small German-influenced colonial town. More recently Swakopmund has become very well known for the adrenaline activities on offer there.
Optional Activities: Quadbiking, Duneboarding, Deep-sea fishing, Dolphin Cruise, Sky-diving…

Day 37 Solitaire Camp BLD
Leaving behind the Atlantic Ocean we drive inland again and visit Solitaire - the smallest town in Namibia.

Day 38 Sesriem Camp BLD
We arrive at Sesriem Camp and have time to go for a walk down in to the canyon. A short drive takes us to the 2x4 parking area from where you can either walk in and out of Sossusvlei.

Day 39 Fish River Canyon Camp BLD
A very early start is needed to see the sunrise from the top of the magnificent dunes. Our destination today is the awesome Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world, where we will enjoy a sundowner at the edge of this imposing natural wonder.

Day 40 Gariep River Camp BLD
Continuing on to the Gariep (Orange) River and if time and weather permits there may be the opportunity for an optional canoe trip. The night is spent at a wonderful campsite on the banks of the Orange River.

Day 41 Clanwilliam Camp BLD
We enter South Africa's far northwest Namaqualand. A fairly long drive brings us to the town of Clanwilliam where in the summer we can swim in the dam.

Day 42 Cape Town Tour Ends BL
The last day of the tour we stop to photograph Table Mountain before the tour ends at a local hostel. In the evening we can all go out for dinner at an African-style restaurant.

Day 7 Swakopmund Hostel BL
A dramatic drive through the arid Namib Naukluft sees us arrive at Walvis Bay where, if we are fortunate, the resident flamingo flock can be seen. Then it's on to the seaside resort-town of Swakopmund. The evening is spent in hostel-style accommodation and you have the option of enjoying a dinner at a local restaurant serving the catch of the day from the local fishermen.

After a leisurely morning in Vic Falls we enter Botswana where we set up camp on the bank of the Chobe River. The following day sees us enjoying an early morning boat cruise and game drive on and along the Chobe River.


Day 4 Northern Namibia Camp BLD
We enjoy a hearty breakfast and pack up camp. We then leave Botswana and enter Namibia to travel the Caprivi Strip en-route to the Okavango Delta.
Optional Activities: Sunset Cruise on Kwando River

Day 5/6/7 Okavango Delta Camp BLD
