Itinerary
DAY 1

“Blue Mountain” where we set up camp in an area well protected from the
prevailing winds experienced during summer months.

DAY 2
09h00 - after a good
breakfast we start the 2nd day driving through some awesome coastal belt dunes
towards the Atlantic Ocean. Once on the beach we visit the old “Saddle Hill
Mine” which was built and mined by Moses Khan (1937 – 1959). Our journey
continues until we reach “Skeleton Bay” about 3km north of “Saddle Hill South”.
Here – about 200m from the beach, we set up camp for the night.
DAY 3
After breakfast we visit the
famous “Blow Hole”, Saddle Hill North and surrounding area, Spencer Bay and
Mercury Island. The night we spend at ‘Bay View’ in the dunes offering a
beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.
DAY 4
On the last day our route
leads us away from the Ocean. We visit “Devils Workshop” and continue through
some mighty dunes towards one of the dune belts running parallel to the coast to
“Koichab Pan” which is a photographer’s paradise. Now we travel away from the
sea through a place called ‘Devils Workshop’. From there on we continue through
the dunes and should reach the gravel road at about 15h00. That will be our last
stop to gear ourselves for the tarred road and say Good Bye to all our new
friends.
