Note: Please report every damage or accident: tyre puncture/damage, driving and stuck in water, sandstorms, windscreen chips and cracks, mechanical damages/breakdowns.

IMPORTANT: Strictly no driving: to Sandwich Harbour, along Kunene, from Epupa Falls east on 3700 to 3701, van Zyl’s Pass up, on 4WD roads in Kaokoland, Bushmenland, Caprivi, through steep and salt water, sandstorms, along riverbeds, off-road, in twilight, after sunset, before sunrise, on unregistered roads. Do not: step on roof and bonnet, lean against metal parts, exceed speed of 80 km/h, leave info@namibweb.com unguarded, forget to install steering lock, leave key in ignition or inside the info@namibweb.com.
No unauthorised repairs should be made. In case of breakdown please inform the lessor immediately.

Usage of 95 (UNLEADED) petrol for petrol engines is compulsory at all times.

I understand and accept by signing full responsibility for the costs of all damages incurred for which I am liable as stipulated in the terms and Conditions of this contract. I further agree that if payment is to be made by credit info@namibweb.comd, my signature below shall constitute authority to debit my credit info@namibweb.comd nominated for the total amount due including my full liability for the damages incurred (plus an additional amount of up to 10% of the estimated damages should the actual billed damages exceed the estimated damages. The vehicle, condition of tyres and glass parts, general appearance has been checked by me on delivery and found to be in a good condition except damages as stipulated above (if applicable/any).

Although renter has insurance cover from Elena Travel Services & info@namibweb.com Hire CC with the amount of excess as stipulated above, renter is still liable for a full value of damages occurred or vehicle replacement according to current market value plus registration and transportation costs if caused by negligence, driving in riverbeds, through water, road conditions not suitable for a particular vehicle model, driving on any terrain, or road without road numbers or any mentioned under 18 of Conditions of Hire (below), any damage to tyres and/or glass/body/engine/chassis and other parts of the vehicle.

I, the undersigned [herein described as (‘’The renter’’) agree to rent from Elena Travel Services & info@namibweb.com Hire CC (‘’The lessor’’) the motor vehicle described in the form (‘’the vehicle’’) which expression shall include tyres, tools, accessories, and all other items with which it is equipped for the period set out hereon.
I have read the terms and conditions set out on the reverse side of this form and I agree that the said terms, conditions and particulars set out on this form shall constitute a binding agreement between myself and the owner.

Conditions of hire:

1. Valid driver’s licence and passport must be produced by the renter. All rates include maintenance and oil but exclude tyres, mechanical damages and fuel. Insurance is included but excess amount is payable by the renter in case of accident or damage to the vehicle. Persons, personal property, delays and medical-related expenses are not covered. It is the renter’s responsibility to arrange own comprehensive travel insurance. Lessor will not be responsible for extra accommodation in case of mechanical breakdowns for any reason.
2. The right of substitution of the vehicle from partner company is reserved by the lessor. The lessor also reserves the right to substitute a quoted vehicle with a similar model. No vehicle may be taken outside Namibia without prior arrangement. A sufficient notice of at least 14 (fourteen) working days must be given before rental’s commencement date to prepare all necessary documentation in case of over border rentals.
3. The renter is liable for fuel usage, damages and for all extras requested. 0 (zero) or any reduced excess does not cover mechanical damages to the info@namibweb.com incurred during rental (under body, body and any other parts of vehicle) if not caused by an accident. The renter has to provide Elena Travel Services with security for insurance excess amount. 4WD vehicles: full off road driving (4WD tracks/roads, unregistered roads, deep/loose sand, riverbeds, any unsuitable road, etc.) is not allowed or is at renter’s risk: all damages resulting from 4WD usage are on renter’s account including damages, rental and delivery of substitution vehicle, transportation/towing, accommodation, driver allowance/expenses and salary and any other expenses incurred by a lessor.
4. Rental beyond the originally agreed date of termination or earlier drop-off must be arranged on arrival or ten (10) days before completion of agreement. Rental period is calculated on 24-hours basis from the time of pick-up. Minimum rental period is 24 hours. Vehicles are hired subject to standard Rental Agreement.

5. The info@namibweb.coms are allowed to Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Driving to unauthorised countries will void all/any insurances taken and hold the renter responsible to the full amount of damages/replacement of the vehicle.
In case of breakdown outside of
Namibia the renter will be liable for the transportation costs to the Namibian border
6. Elena Travel Services will not be held responsible for any missed flight for any reason. The renter must ascertain that he/she has enough time for a driving from the last destination to the place of drop off including possible police road block checks, flat tyres, mechanical problems, vehicle check up time, time for airport transfer and pre-flight registration.

7. No refunds/discounts will be given if the lessor has not been notified about any malfunctions at the time of occurrence. Notifications on delivery or at the time of termination of the contract will be not accepted and no refund (s) will be granted. Bank fees/charges are strictly non-refundable. No insurance cover for driving into the war zone or if any war related accident has occurred. In case of any accident/loss/break-in the renter must notify the nearest police station and obtain a police case number. Failure to do so will renders all insurances void and renter is held responsible for all damages incurred. Damages to glass parts and tyres are on the renter’s account. Cracked/chipped parts will have to be replaced.

8. A notice of at least 3 working days before end of rental period should be given if any damages have been incurred during rental period to enable to obtain a quotation for parts’ repair/replacement.

9. Negligence: negligent driving, drunk driving, speeding, driving under influence of drugs, on unauthorised roads, overturning of the info@namibweb.com, accidents when no other vehicle is involved, driving to prohibited areas/countries, reckless driving, obvious acts of disregard to the vehicle will held the renter liable to the full amount of damages.

10. Transportation of the vehicle when accident/brake down is factory’s fault is on lessor’s account. Transportation when accident/brake down/collision is renter’s fault/occurred during rental period for any reason is on renter’s account. Transportation/delivery/drop-off/towing/salvage/recovery costs are calculated solely by the lessor and are not negotiable. Transportation to the Namibian border and all related costs from anywhere outside of Namibia in case of breakdown for any reason: on renter’s account. The lessor reserves the right to deliver a replacement vehicle and/or a mechanic’s services within a period of 24 hours. Outside of Namibia (all allowed countries): 72 hours.

11. Tyres’ repair by plug is not acceptable. In this case renter will be liable for the costs of tyres’ replacement. Tyres damaged on the walls must be replaced. Driving on flat tyres is prohibited and will held the renter liable for the full amount of damages/replacement costs to/of tyres, rims and chassis parts. Not reported damages: all costs arising plus penalty fee are payable by renter. All accidents must be reported within 24 hours, failure to do so renders all insurances void. The right of delivery charge/fee within Windhoek, within Namibia/outside of Namibia and/or to/from Windhoek International airport is reserved by the lessor. Sandstorm damage (s) is/are not covered by any insurance and is strictly on renter’s account. A maximum of two drivers is allowed. Driving by unauthorised driver will void all/any insurances taken and hold the renter responsible to the full amount of damages/replacement of the vehicle. Failure to install gearbox/steering wheel lock (s), activate alarm (if applicable)/produce info@namibweb.com keys will render the renter liable to the full costs of replacement vehicle should vehicle be stolen.
