For most of the year, Botswana is warm and dry. Spring explodes into wonderful fauna as far as the eye can see. Botswana is world-famous for its wildlife and backpackers from all over the world make Botswana one of their must stopovers.

Hosts offer helpful advice on your planned travels throughout Botswana. Traditional African meals are available at a number of local restaurants in Gaborone.

Mokolodi's accommodation consists of:

1 private Chalet which sleeps 2 persons

1 Chalet (Dorm) sleeps up to 4 persons

1 Chalet (Dorm) sleeps up to 8 persons

Directions from Gaborone:

Drive 10 km on the road between Gaborone and Lobatse (Ramotswa), from Game city circle. Turn right at the: Mokolodi Nature Reserve turnoff (there is a small board that says “Mokolodi Nature Reserve on the left-hand side). Turn right at the 2nd road, at the sign saying: “Mokolodi Residential Plot 79-87” and “Mokolodi Backpackers”. Drive to the end of the road. Mokolodi is the 2nd last plot on the right. You will see a sign board just in front of the gate saying: “Mokolodi Backpackers”.

Executive Unit – sleeps 2 (1)

A 2-person Rondavel with a double bed inside. The unit is self-catering and has a kitchen and bathroom in the unit. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom has a shower with hot water. It has a air-con, desk and chair and a cupboard. Linen and towels are supplied. Facilities are very secure, clean and well maintained. Secure parking and sound location are part of the package.

Private Chalet - sleeps 2 (2)

A 2-person thatched cottage - with 2 x single beds inside. The unit is self-catering and has access to a private kitchen and its’ own private bathroom facility with showers and hot water. It has a fan, heater, desk and chair. Linen and towels are supplied. Facilities are very secure, clean and well maintained. Secure parking and sound location

Wooden Chalet - sleeps 2 (1)

A 2-person wooden unit - with 2 x single beds inside. The unit is self-catering and has access to a communal kitchen and communal bathroom facilities with showers and hot water. It has a fan inside. Linen and towels are supplied. Facilities are very secure, clean and well maintained. Secure parking and sound location

Wooden Chalet - sleeps 4 (3)

A 4-person wooden unit - with 2 x bunk beds inside and can accommodate 1 to 4 persons. The unit is self-catering and has access to a communal kitchen and communal bathroom facilities with showers and hot water. It has a fan inside. Linen and towels are supplied. Facilities are very secure, clean and well maintained. Secure parking and sound location.

Camping - Lodge's Tent - sleeps 2 (1)

A Canvas 3x3 dome tent that have 2 mattresses inside. The tent is self-catering and has access to a communal kitchen and communal bathroom facilities, with showers and hot water. Linen is supplied. The facilities are very secure, clean and well maintained. Secure parking and sound location.

Camping - Your Tent

The small 4-tent camping area is self-catering and has access to a common kitchen and common bathroom facilities, with showers and hot water. Linen and towels are not supplied. It has access to 220V AC power. The facilities are very secure, clean and well maintained. Secure parking.
