Dogon

The Dogon is a group of a Gur-speaking people (Dogon language) of the central part of Mali and Burkina Faso. Living in isolated mountainous area under the authority of priests-chiefs, they have retained their traditional customs and religious beliefs despite strong Islamic influence in the surrounding plains. They have own architectural style and religion.
