Sikereti
Camp has been reopened in July 2022!
Sikereti Camp, located in Khaudum National Park, now offers a tented camp with
eight self-catering units. Each of the spacious en-suite units has an elevated
deck with a braai (barbeque) area.
Well-known camp also has four camping sites: own private washing up area, hot
water showers fired by a donkey, flush toilets and a central fireplace at each
camp site. Every camping site can accommodate groups of up to four vehicles.

Khaudum National Park is located in north-eastern part of Namibia. The park is known for its pristine nature and large herds of elephants. Sikereti is located about 10 km from the southern border of Khaudum National Park and around 60 km from Tsumkwe settlement.
Sikereti Camp is not fenced off - it is a special attraction of the camp. Sikereti Camp was in dare need of renovations since 2015 and was officially closed in March 2019. The renovation work was delayed several times, also because of the Corona crisis. The tented camp was newly added.
Khaudum National Park was established with conservation in mind and not for cash generation. This simple guiding characteristic gave birth to the true wilderness feel that embraces one’s soul when visiting the park. It is wild, and we want to keep it like that.
Sikereti
Tented Camp is self-catering only. Visitors are required to report and
register immediately upon entry to the Park at Sikereti Gate, if entering from
the south, or Khaudum Gate, if entering from the north. Park entrance,
conservation and vehicle fees due to the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and
Tourism (MEFT) should be settled at the gate, unless such fees have been paid
to SCS prior to arrival. Proof of pre-payment will be required at the gate.
Guests at Sikereti Camp are required to have their own travel insurance.
Should they not have insurance cover, they will be personally responsible for
any costs incurred as a result of a medical emergency or evacuation, as well
as any other insurance claims. Guest will be required to complete an indemnity
form upon arrival at Sikereti Camp.

Besides Sikereti, there is Khaudum Camp in Khaudum Park. It is located in the north of the national park. Both camps are run in cooperation with Khaudum North Complex Conservancy and Gciriku Traditional Authority.
Khaudum National Park is a good option as a trip on the way between centre of Namibia and Okavango River and/or Zambezi Region. Travellers need a 4WD drive vehicle and some experience in driving through deep sand.
Sikereti's

SADC citizens, permanent residents and members of the diplomatic corps based
in these countries qualify for a 30% discount on campsite rates. Documentary
proof is required.
Sikereti Tented Camp is self-catering only. Each of the tented units has a
covered outdoor braai area.
Access to/from the camp is excluded from the rate. Pick-up from Tsumkwe or

at Sikereti Camp.

as any other insurance claims.
Visitors assume full responsibility and liability for their safety and conduct
and by entering the Park expressly and irrevocably waive and renounce all
claims against the Government of the Republic of Namibia, MEFT, Khaudum
National Park and SCS for loss, damages or injury howsoever sustained whilst
