Sediba Lodge Clarens |
A Sotho
word for "source of the spring" - Just three hours from Johannesburg and four
hours from Durban and an ideal stop-over from the Cape. This beautiful game
farm nestles in the foothills of the majestic Maluti Mountains, situated just
10 kilometres from the picturesque little town of Clarens. Nothing has been
spared to make your stay a most enjoyable and memorable experience. Some happy
customers return again and again, a testament to what Sediba has to offer.
Sediba consists of North Lodge (twin beds, sleeps 6) three bedrooms each with
en-suite bathroom, lounge, dining area and kitchen. South Lodge consists of
two bedrooms (twin beds, sleeps 4) Both Lodges have open fireplaces, heated
towel rails, electric 'all night' blankets, "Weber braais" and covered patios.
The lodges are spacious, well appointed, fully serviced and offer home from
home comfort. The view from all the windows and doors is stunning and both
Lodges are within a few metres of a well stocked trout dam. The 'Rooiberge'
mountain range and sandstone cliffs offer a breathtaking backdrop.
The third Lodge, "Sediba Mountain Lodge" is appointed in the same upmarket
design and overlooks the trout dam and game park. This luxurious lodge
commands superlative views, sleeps 4 in two separate spacious bedrooms (twin
beds in one and kingsize bed in the other). They have en-suite bathrooms,
underfloor heating, kitchen, dining room and lounge, and a large open
fireplace. Sediba Lodge is a haven of peace and tranquility, a safe retreat,
where one can walk in the 300 hectare game park, through riverine forests.
Perhaps spend some time fishing, perhaps sit on the patio and watch the zebra,
or wildebeest, or maybe a reedbuck, graze on the mountain slopes. Sip a glass
of wine and admire the bird life. The only night sounds to be heard are the
cry of the jackal, the hoot of an owl or the occasional scuffle of a porcupine
digging up roots. Establishment guarantee that the stars here are brighter than anywhere
else! If you can tear yourself away from Sediba, Clarens and Golden Gate have
much to offer the visitor. Clarens has a profusion of Art Galleries and craft
shops, and good restaurants. If its excitement you are looking for then try
the white river rafting, or 4x4 quad biking. Take a more leisurely drive
through Golden Gate National Park or go on a dinosaur walk, or visit
historical Boer War sites. There is a golf course, horse riding, bushmen
paintings, squash and tennis courts available. Clarens is a beautiful little
town, with much to see and do.
