Bakoni Malapa Northern Sotho Open-air Museum: 9km away, on the Chuniespoort Road - The traditional, as well as the modern, way of living of the Bakoni tribe is shown in the two lapas.
Concentration Camp Cemetery: Kobait street - The camp, set up during the Anglo-Boer War, housed almost 4000 people.
Eersteling Monuments: 18km from Pietersburg (Polokwane) on the N1 to Makopane - The first gold crushing site and first gold power plant in South Africa.
Gemco LTD: Plot 124, Ivydale, on the N1 - A treasure chest of semi-precious stone, ivory jewellery, ornaments and stone sculpture.
Hunting: Polokwane is the centre of the hunting Mecca of South Africa.
Makapan Caves: Situated between Pietersburg (Polokwane) and Makopane on the N1 - Famed for its yield of fossils and the siege of General Potgieter and the Black tribesman for 30 days. Potgieter himself was killed, as well as 1500 tribesmen.
Polokwane Art Museum: Library Gardens - The collection is the most extensive municipal collection outside the well-known centres in the country.
