Situated in the picturesque country town of Sabie, in the Mpumalanga province
of South Africa, Lone Creek River Lodge is an oasis of peace and tranquility.
Surrounded by unspoiled forests, mountain streams and waterfalls Lone Creek
River Lodge offers comfortable and luxurious accommodation in the heart of the Drakensberg Escarpment, easily accessible from all major routes. Here, on the
malaria-free banks of the Sabie River, hosts guarantee a magnificent resting
place for body, mind and soul. At Lone Creek River Lodge you are assured of
quality accommodation with attention to the smallest detail. All
accommodation facilities are serviced daily and the amenities include hair
dryers, satellite TV and extra length beds. Dinner is available by prior
arrangement.
Luxury Timber Lodges: Eight timber lodges can accommodate two to
eight guests each (maximum of 28 adults and 24 children, sharing). The perfect
choice for the self-catering enthusiast or for honeymooners. Children are
welcome and if you would like to take a break from cooking, a renowned
Restaurant serves scrumptious breakfasts and fine country cuisine for dinner.
Children under the age of 7 years are accommodated at half price and must be
under strict supervision of parents and only by prior arrangement of
management. A luxury timber lodges are double storey houses and consist of
four units each: two downstairs (B-units, suitable for two guests) and two
upstairs units (A-units, suitable for a family of four).
The A-units (upstairs) have: fully equipped kitchens with all cutlery
and crockery

Luxury River Rooms
Five tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with its own private balcony,
overlook the fresh water pool, the Sabie River and the beautifully landscaped
gardens. These rooms are part of the main Manor and have:
en-suite bathrooms (bath & shower)

telephones
secure parking
Regrettably hosts do not allow children under the age of 14. A maximum of ten
guests (sharing) can be accommodated and guests can choose between double or
twin beds. The tariff includes breakfast and dinner is also available. Eight
individually decorated suites, with rose-wood cupboards, Italian tiles and
hand painted basins, reflect the ultimate in luxury accommodation.
Each of these suites also has:
a separate lounge with open log fireplace
an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower
a writing desk for business tasks
a telephone
luxury linen and amenities

The
perfect choice for honeymooners or the busy executive, these suites are
situated on the banks of the Sabie River. Each suite has its own private
verandah and garden where you can relax with a sundowner and watch the
kingfishers on the river.
The Restaurant: The Restaurant serves scrumptious breakfasts,
delightful lunches and romantic dinners.
Hosts expertly cater for up to 100 people for: weddings, private
functions, year-end functions, Christmas parties and special occasions
Enjoy breathtaking views of the Sabie River valley and forests whilst dining
on fine country cuisine prepared by two cordon bleu chefs. Dress code for
breakfast, lunch and dinner is smart casual.
Pool Cool down or soak up the sun next to one of two sparkling
fresh-water pools.
Mediaeval Wine Cellar A place that brings warmth to evening relaxation
or celebration. Made for sharing good times, bringing special people together
and to re-acquaint one with the almost forgotten art of living. Mediaeval
Wine Cellar can seat up to 20 people and hosts have a wide selection of the
finest South African wines.
Fish Eagle & King Fisher Rooms These two spacious lounges each have
their own unique ambience to accommodate your mood or frame of mind. Enjoy a
sundowner or a cold beer in the Fish Eagle lounge after a busy day or long
drive. Curl up in front of the log fire with a book or magazine in the King
Fisher lounge.
