KO-KA TSARA BUSH CAMP meaning "small bucks kloof" in Khoi, is set in the Nuweveld Mountains of the Great Karoo, 8km outside Beaufort West. This intimate and exclusive bush camp is situated on a Private Game Reserve comprising 30 000 acres of pristine Karoo veld. The reserve plays host to more than 20 species of game including Giraffe, Kudu, Gemsbok, Wildebeest and Eland. Bird life is prolific with nearly 200 different varieties recorded on the Reserve. This secluded bush camp consists of 7 chalets, a Lounge / Conference Centre, Bar and Boma surrounded by rocky crags and the Nuweveld Mountains.

The chalets were designed and built by the game farm owner, Werner Koster, who exclusively used local poplars and stone for their construction. The Rustic décor is completed by slate floors, hand made furniture and wood finishes. Stylishly decorated, each chalet sleeps four with an en suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and own private braai (barbeque) facility. Each chalet has its own private parking area and is comprehensively furnished including fans for summer and heaters for winter. The night sounds of jackal calling create the ambiance of Africa and make this a nature lover's paradise. The Seven A-Frame chalets, built from stone, timber and thatch offer the ideal accommodation for this perfect hideaway.

ACTIVITIES AT KO-KA TSARA BUSH CAMP
Host activities are focused on fun, relaxation and bringing you in close contact with nature. We offer exciting day or night game drives in an open Land Rover with a well-informed guide, or you can roam host 4x4 trails. For the more adventurous you can explore host hiking trails and refresh in one of the river pools, or spend some time in the bird-hide. At the campsite we have a swimming pool, a central lounge with DSTV, a bar and a boma where you can relax next to a campfire after a long day of exploring. We also serve dinner in the boma on reservation. After dinner you can loosen yourself in the brilliance of the velvet sky and wish upon a shooting star.
Ko-Ka Tsara Bush Camp offers every comfort for a sojourn in the African wilderness with a range of activities and conference facilities. The Camp also offers some of the best star gazing in South Africa with falling stars regularly spotted. If you are in want of peace, fresh air and tranquility, Ko-Ka Tsara Bush Camp is the place to find it in abundance. To quote one of host previous visitors: "Late afternoon establishment jumped into the camp's game viewing vehicle and took the zigzagging track up the mountainside. If you suffer from vertigo, close your eyes, hang in there because the climb is well worthwhile when reaching the expansive plateau. 10,000 of the 70,000-hectare farm is dedicated to the 24 species of game, including the protected Mountain Zebra and Bontebok." Red hartebeest, Aardwolf, Kudu, Giraffe, Gemsbok, Klipspringer and Gnu amongst other species roam the plain. Species that sleep can be seen from your chalet are Black Wildebeest, Impala, Kudu and Bushbuck. Safe and secure parking. Child friendly.
