Inyathi Guest Lodge Knysna |
With 11 little wooden chalets,
set in a mostly indigenous garden, Inyathi Guest Lodge gives the idea of a romantic,
African village, right in the heart of Knysna, South Africa! The Victorian baths, the
separate entrances, the outdoor veranda's and the abundant bird life
complement the picturesque environment.
Rooms: All host chalets are equipped with colour TV, coffee and tea
making facilities, heaters as well as fans. All bathrooms are en-suite, and
have a shower or Victorian bath, washbasin and toilet. Linen as well as
towels are provided (but it would be appreciated if you could bring your own
beach towel...) and the chalets are serviced daily. Establishment have got the adapters
for the European plugs, as well as hairdryers on request.
Host breakfast is an experience on its own, with a mix of both English and
continental influences. You'll find your favourite cereals on the buffet, as
well as fruit juices, milk, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea, and most importantly
a decent cup of filter coffee! Brown bread, white toast and cheese finalize
the continental part of the buffet, while the eggs and bacon complement the
English part of breakfast. indigenous yellowwoods, lush oak trees and
'fruitful' guava, plum and banana trees form the basis of Inyathi's
bush-like garden. Stone paths and wooden steps wind their way through this
little oasis, filled with ferns and the sound of soothing reeds. Sunbirds
and cape-white-eyes fight for attention over the blooming strelicia's,
birds-of-paradise, the strikingly orange canna's or the elegant white arum
lilies. In the evening, when soft lights light this romantic setting, you
wish you would never have to leave.
