Gweta Lodge |
Gweta Lodge is located in Gweta Village in central Botswana and is just off the main highway, making it a perfect rest stop for travellers going between Maun and Nata (the turnoff point for Kasane to the north and Francistown to the south).
Entrances to both pans are found a few kilometers from Gweta. Fuel and supplies can be found at Gweta village, 45 km west of Makgadikgadi entrance gate.
The public areas include
a bar, lounge, pool, open rondavels (one with power outlets for wireless
laptop access), an outdoor kitchen, a restaurant, a curio shop, and a boma
fire pit.
Comfortable accommodations include two luxury rooms, family rooms for four or
more guests, double rooms with en-suite showers, and traditional thatched-roof
rondavels. Hosts also have camping facilities and an ablutions block with hot
showers and toilets.

mosquito nets, and satellite TV.
Family rooms at Gweta Lodge: family rooms sleep four (one double bed and two twin beds), and
are equipped with ceiling fans, coffee and tea service, mosquito nets, and
en-suite bathrooms.

at Gweta Lodge:

Single and double (twin beds) rondavels at Gweta Lodge: traditional African rondavel huts are
equipped with ceiling fans and mosquito nets. Shared bathrooms with toilets
and hot showers are available nearby.
Luxury tents at Gweta Lodge: luxury tents sleep two, and
are equipped with a night stand, wash basin and storage shelves. Shared
bathrooms with toilets and hot showers are available nearby.
Bow tents at Gweta Lodge: bow tents sleep two, and are equipped with an ablutions block
with toilets and hot showers nearby.
Camping at Gweta Lodge: guests are welcome to bring their own vehicles and tents for camping. There is a fire pit for cooking and warming up on cold nights. An ablutions block with toilets and hot showers is available nearby.
