Formerly
the Port Captain's residence, Brenwin Guest House in Cape Town has combined the character of
its history with all the modern comforts, creating a warm ambience to make
your stay memorable. Situated on the slopes of Signal Hill in cosmopolitan
Green Point, it is close to the city centre and the new International
Convention Centre, and only a ten minute walk to the V & A Waterfront. Brenwin
was completely renovated in 2003, but it has kept its old world charm. It
has a wonderful tropical garden with banana and palm trees and establishment have added a
thatch roof gazebo to relax in, have tea, read a book or have an afternoon
nap. A wooden deck now adjoins the dining room, so you can enjoy your
breakfast outside, surrounded by trees and singing birds.
All rooms have been redecorated and now have the most comfortable new beds
with white linen. There are 4 large select rooms (with additional sleeper
couch), 9 standard double rooms, and 2 apartments with a bedroom, lounge and
kitchen for a maximum of 4 persons. The apartments can be rented on a B&B or
self-catering basis.
The rooms offer the following facilities:
En suite bathroom - some with a Victorian bath or shower
Bar fridge and tea/coffee tray
TV and direct line telephone
Wall safe
Queen size double beds in extra length, or 2 single beds
With hosts' courtesy bus they can arrange airport transfers and tours of the Cape and Winelands. Establishment welcomes children - provided they can swim and are not a disturbance to the other guests.
